Role types

Common titles include social media assistant, coordinator, moderator, community specialist and community manager. Responsibilities can include scheduling, moderation, reporting, customer responses and content support.

Skills employers may seek

Writing, platform familiarity, brand judgment, organization and basic analytics are common themes. More advanced roles may expect strategy, paid media or creative-production experience.

Be careful with income claims

A training product can teach or organize opportunities, but it is not the same thing as an employer offering you a role. Verify who actually pays you and under what employment or contractor arrangement.
